Introduction to Stage and Live Events

IATSE Local 295 is offering an introduction to stage and live events course at the Conexus Arts Centre Sunday, February 19th 2023 at 9:00am We are looking to broaden the knowledge of current and new workers by offering introductory raining in 5 disciplines, that you will be rotated through in a group throughout the day.

Departments we will be exploring are:

Audio/

Lighting

Audio-Visual

Wardrobe-Dressing

General stagehand including basic ground rigging.

All are welcome to apply and we encourage everyone to join us for this experience. You may be an individual who has worked in events before but usually stick to one department and are curious how the others work, you may be in university and are curious of your post opportunities, or possibly just a live event fanatic and have always wanted to push a road case. Whatever may spark your interest!

Register soon as space is limited.

We are a group of professional individuals who are eager to share our knowledge with you. Putting on a show is a team sport and they come together smoothly and safely when we are knowledgeable in each others roles.

Not an IATSE Local 295 member? We look forward to adding you to our call list. Come join the β€œdark” side, there will be lunch.
